PRAYER MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Mark Brown

Ministry Overview

Transform every church and member of Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist into a House of prayer.

We try to attain this objective by teaching the Churches Prayer Ministry leaders: how to organize this ministry in their churches, how to make prayer visible from the pulpit, how to transforming the Wednesday night prayer meeting into a real, attractive, interesting prayer meeting, how to organize days of fasting and prayer, how to bathe every ministry of the churches with prayer, making resources available to every Church Prayer Ministry Church leader and encouraging every church of SEC to have a prayer room.

Pray until something happens

In this fast-paced, microwave society, we often get so busy that we forget to take time out for God.  And even when we do pray, we expect God to answer our prayers instantly because we need “it” done right now.  But that is not how real Christianity works.  God already knows what we need and want, so praying is not to inform Him of anything.  Rather it is an opportunity to demonstrate our trust and total dependence on God for everything in our lives.  Sometimes we must wait for God to speak or to move on our behalf, but we must never stop praying. We are admonished by the apostle Paul to “Pray without ceasing” 1 Thess. 5:17.

Something ALWAYS happens when we submit to God in prayer, so we should constantly be in a spirit of prayer, whether it be on bended knee, or on the ride to or from work, before we begin to take a test in school, or with our children at morning or evening worship… there is always a need to pray.  let’s remember to have a prayerful spirit, wait on the Lord, and PUSH!
