Brother Eddie Gilbert, the father of Vanessa (Gilbert) Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 due to a sudden heart attack. Brother Gilbert, a Miami-Dade County Police Officer was a member of the Northside Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was affectionately known as "Officer Friendly".
