At approximately 11:15 a.m. on July 2, Mark O. August was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Tampa, Fl, after he was found on the floor of his home office.  At approximately 11:00 a.m., Mark was engaged in a phone conversation with Moses Brown, a close friend. During the conversation, Moses detected that all was not well with Mark, as Mark was not communicating coherently.  Moses immediately contacted Mark’s wife, Angela Pitts-August, and informed her of the situation.  Angela contacted a neighbor and asked him to check on Mark.  The neighbor found Mark on the floor writhing in pain.

Initial diagnosis is that a blood vessel ruptured deep in his brain, the result of his blood pressure being extremely high.  As a result of the bleeding, his brain is swelling and the left side of Mark’s body is paralyzed.  Currently, Mark is sedated in ICU at St. Joseph’s hospital in Tampa, Fl.

Mark is a long time member of the Mt. Calvary SDA Church in Tampa, Fl. Angela is requesting that you pray for Mark.  We serve a God that is able to do all things.  We will keep you informed of his condition as more information is made available.

Hello Angela: We are praying that the Lord will touch Mark and heal him and give you strength to deal with the situation. And it shall come to pass that before they call I will answer and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 We believe in the power of prayer and we will continue to pray daily for Mark's full recovery.

God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. He is still in the healing business. The enemy does not have power,he only have permission. That means that when things go wrong,God has already calculated that into His plans for our brother's life...'plan togive him an expected end'[Jer.29:11]God is our Father, we can ask Him for everything we need,so let us pray about this problem and leave it in the hands of the great physican.

I just spoke with Angela, she wants this info spread to everyone. Mark's condition is stable at this time. But this morning the doctor's let Angela try to communicate with him to see what his response would be. She began singing a song that they both sing to Margaret every morning. When she did, he began moving his entire body in effort to communicate with her. This happened again when she and a few visitors sang another song. Also, he has shown some limited movement on the affected side of his body. He had to be sedated again, only because his efforts to respond to Angela caused his blood pressure to rise. And by the way, he has officially made it through the first 24 hours, which is considered the most critical period. This is awesome news! Keep praying and believing that God is right now performing the miracle we have asked for in the name of Jesus. Angela sounds relatively good considering everything. Please continue to pray that God will grant her and Margaret the strength they need to cope with this crisis. At the request of Angela, please spread this good news to everyone you can contact. Thanks, Bruce
