The Southeastern Conference (SEC) singles ministry department held a powerful and spirit-filled singles empowerment weekend, this past December 2019. It took place at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Orlando, FL, December 13-15. The activity-packed weekend featured a plethora of speakers/presenters including Loretta Gibbons, Eddy Guerrier, Lindsay Syeh, Yvette Parham, Alexia Madrid and Rupert Bushner were they all in some way strove to reiterate the theme for the weekend: “Living My Best Blessed Single Life!”
Keeping in line with the goal of the SEC’s singles ministry of “encouraging, enlightening, and empowering singles to grow and develop a state of wholeness, completion, and well-being in God while fully living and engaging, exciting, effective, and meaningful, Spirit-filled lives”, the daily events made sure to help do just that! From rousing presentations, powerful testimonies, heartfelt prayer sessions and spirit-filled praise and worship services to fun mixers, game nights and volunteer opportunities-the weekend was a complete edifying experience!
Not only did the weekend prove refreshing, encouraging and enlightening, but it proved to focus on more than just the weekend itself. True to what itself as a singles ministry stands for, it made sure to remind singles that beyond the weekend events, there were to be several other opportunities to learn, mingle and serve in the upcoming New Year. Upcoming events include the following: debt free series, singles meet & greet and a valentine’s game show, just to name a few. So, if you’ve missed out on this event, don’t fret! There are several events to come in the future, so for additional information on how you can learn more about being a part of the Southeastern Conference Singles Ministry, please contact your local church’s singles ministry leader.
